The Ortal North American Design Center
Design inspiration can come from many sources, including images in periodicals or online searches. But there’s nothing like seeing a design or a product in person where you can inspect, see things in context, ask questions, look and touch. 

To help you visualize fireplace design in your plans, we have just opened the Ortal North American Design Center at our North American headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. The center features more than 30 working fireplaces, including models never before seen in the North American market, such as suspended units that are now installed in Europe. It’s a great place for design professionals and their clients to see and experience fireplace styles and many other options that round out a design. 

With so many styles on display, it’s possible to compare options. For example, see how the Ortal linear burner compares to our exclusive, ultra-realistic Wilderness Collection burner. Different internal media are on display, including options that mix and match. And each fireplace wall in the center is a different material – porcelain, drywall, stone tile, wood, etc. – so that designers can see how various fireplace styles interact with different surrounds. 

Architects and designers can bring clients to the center and use the center’s conference spaces to conduct meetings. 

Ortal A&D consultants are on hand to answer questions or collaborate, and we can schedule a continuing education lunch and learn so that your group can earn credits while interacting with working fireplaces as training tools.
