Materials and Technology Lead IBS Orlando 2017

With the dual opening of IBS and KBIS last week in Orlando, global design and manufacturing brands showcased the latest in high technology materials, appliances and lifestyle products.

According to The Architects Newspaper, a pronounced emphasis on design materials underscored the home and hospitality functional choices offered to architects and builders today.

With platforms such as Houzz and the Business of Home providing luxury product material, finish and installation options to designers and consumers online, an array of new debuts at the shows included stone, metal, wood, glass and cement.

High performance technology products, including  the new Ortal lifestyle collection of fireplace designs, displayed how sustainability, functionality and contemporary design combine to create ambiance for home, hotel, and destination.

Their scalable range of fireplace designs offer heat or non-heat utility options for any type of freestanding room placement or built vignette.

Widely viewed as the optimal gas-based choice for any urban or rural fireplace installation by builders, Ortal national project director Spencer Lowe was also on hand to provide technical support and demonstrations to the many architects attending the tradeshow.

“We’re seeing that our respective construction prowess and team engineering background at Ortal complements the needs in the multifamily and large scale residential market, nationally.

We enjoy the challenge of interpreting architectural plans to install the optimal solution for each builder, and ultimately the luxury homeowner.”

Ortal will also exhibit at the upcoming HPBEXPO in Atlanta March 2-4, 2017.
